Your body has the ability to heal itself when you get hurt.  Cuts, bruises, and broken bones are a few examples of what your body can heal from on its own.  But sometimes your body needs help with this healing.  You can use medicine, natural remedies or even doctor treatments to assist in that healing.

Your brain is no different.  Most often you can experience an emotional disturbance, process it effectively, and move on. But sometimes when you are emotionally overwhelmed your brain gets stuck and you just can’t get over the pain.  This is when the brain needs help to heal.
